"Krka" u SECTOR programu REC-a

Ekološka udruga Krka Knin je odabrana za sudjelovanje u SECTOR programu REC-a (The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe - Country Office Croatia). SECTOR je skraćeno Supporting Environmental Civil Society Organisations in South Eastern Europe. Program financira Švedska međunarodna razvojna agencija SIDA. U opširnijoj verziji je poziv za učestvovanje sa prvim tehničkim detaljima. Aktivnosti oko SECTOR programa trebale bi početi do kraja ovog mjeseca.

Organisational Viability

Invitation

Dear Mr. Burnać,

We are pleased to inform you that your organisation has been accepted to be part of the Organisational Viability process within the SECTOR Programme, funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).

The process
Your Organisational Viability process will take place during the months of April – June with the following timing:
- Step 1: Organisational Pre-assessment: duration maximum 4 hours
- Step 2: Organisational Self – Assessment: duration maximum 2 days
- Step 3: Design of the Organisational Development Plan: duration maximum 2 months
The REC will make available to each organisation a facilitator/trainer to help with the process. The facilitator will be Croatian and so the whole process can take place in Croatian language.

Timing
The exact dates of Step 1 and Step 2 will be agreed between your organisation and the designated facilitator during the second week of April; however they will not take place later than May 31st. The facilitator will also assist your organisation with Step 3, the design of the Development Plan, process which will take place between May – June. The submission date of the Development Plans to the REC is June 29, 2007. The name and contact of the designated facilitator will be communicated to you by Dalia Matijevic around the 10th of April.

Materials
The Organisational Viability manual which will be the basis of the work during the Organisational Viability process will be send to you in advance of the Step 1, latest on April 15. We kindly ask you to read the manual in advance of the beginning of the process so you are more familiar with what are the different aspects of the process. There is a wealth of information to be read, plus this is the first version of a manual which was not tested previously and so is good to be prepared in advance of the process with questions and discuss with your facilitator any issues which may not be clear.

Location
The Organisational Pre-assessment will take place in your office or any other suitable location which can offer enough space for all your staff/volunteers.

We recommend that the Self-Assessment (Step 2) to be done as an organisational retreat, outside of the office/work place where the staff/volunteers can be together and not distracted. Of course this will depend on your organisation’s budget.

The Development Plan needs time allocation from the side of your staff, more so from the management/Board team. The facilitator will help in shaping and in perfecting it, but it will be mainly the work of your own organisation.
